Marilyn J. Hackleman

73, of Indianapolis, passed away October 25, 2019. She was born on October 17, 1946 in Indianapolis, Indiana as the daughter of Herman and Lettie Stanfield.

After graduating high school Marilyn met the love of her life, James Hackleman. They were married on November 19, 1971. From this marriage, James and Marilyn had two children, Kelli and Adam. In her younger years, Marilyn enjoyed bowling, swimming, and reading. The thing she loved the most though was family, especially her “favorite grandchild” Trevor. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 48 years, James Hackleman; daughter, Kelli Hackleman; son, Adam Hackleman; grandson, Trevor Hackleman; and brother, Wayne Stanfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Herman Stanfield Jr; sister, Maggie Johnson; and brother, Raymond Stanfield.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019, from 11-1pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229. There will be a memorial service following at 1pm also at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
