Marilyn E. Weddle Kaptain of Indianapolis entered eternal rest on October 4, 2018 at the age of 83.
She was born August 20, 1935 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Bascom and Helen Weddle.
Marilyn graduated from Tech High School and was active in the 1953 Alumni Club for 25 years. She worked in accounting for CMT DeSigns and spent several years as the secretary for Gene B. Glick. She was a member of the Indianapolis Jayncees where she served as Treasurer and Vice President, Chairing the State Convention and receiving the “Jayncee of the Year” award. Her memberships also included WPHOA where she was the past President and Old Bethel United Methodist Church. She volunteered at Community East Hospital in the Oncology Department. Her hobbies include gardening, sewing, painting and making ceramic dolls.
She is survived by her children Kim E. Kaptain Clinton (Raymond G. Clinton, Jr) and Wayne A. Kaptain, grandchildren Trey Clinton and Mary Elleyna Clinton, sister Eileen Burns, nephew Steve Morrison (Lyn) and their sons Nick Morrison (Gilly) and Michael Morrison, niece Sandi Morrison Donner (Mark), and nephew Dane Morrison (Lori) and their children Jessica and Jason Morrison.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 12 from 11 AM to 12 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis. Funeral Services will begin at 12 PM. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Central Indiana Cancer Center, 6845 Rama Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46219.
