Marilyn J. Dye, 80 passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at IU West Hospital in Avon. She was born January 29, 1943, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Marilyn worked for Von Duprin for over 30 years where she later retired. She was a member of the St. Ann Catholic Church in Indianapolis. She loved spending her winters in Seminole, Florida. She enjoyed reading, walking, bicycling, shopping, and spending time with her family.
She will be forever missed by her devoted husband, Ray Dye; her loving children: Belinda (Rob)Carter, Theresa Roberts, Tammy Burdette, and stepson Roger Dye; her cherished nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, she is also survived by her brothers Chuck (Brenda) Schubert of Indianapolis, and Clark (Joanna) Schubert of St. Petersburg, Florida, and her fur baby, Chloe.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Schubert; mother and stepfather, Wilma Schubert-Smith and Truman Smith; seven sisters, Patricia Rains, Barbara Barger, Beverly Dotts, Phyllis Bouher, Pamela Ford, Sharon Harris, and Charolette Glenn; and grandson, Travis Dye.
The celebration of Marilyn's life will take place on December 11, 2023. The visitation will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church located at 6350 South Mooresville Road in Indianapolis from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A Mass honoring Marilyn will follow at the same location at 12:00 PM. The burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
During this time of grief and remembrance, let us hold onto the memories we shared with Marilyn Joyce Dye. Though she may no longer be with us physically, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her kindness, love, and infectious laughter. Rest in peace, dear Marilyn.
