Marie E. Smith

Marie E. Smith, 88 of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018. She was born on February 5, 1930, in Danville, IL to the late Ernest and Esperance Boen. Marie loved to garden and care for her home. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

Marie is survived by her sons, Charles Wayne (Sandra) and Richard Dale; daughter, Diane M. Tiefel; grandchildren, Angela L. Witham-Dugdale (Bill) and Melissa M. Bousman (Rick); nine great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in passing by her husband, Charles F.; brother, Carl; and sister, Marilyn.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, August 31st, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Flanner Buchanan – Broad Ripple, where a service will be held immediately after.
