Marianne Walker

Marianne Walker of Indianapolis passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 86 on June 25, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 11, 1932 to the late Byron and Blanche Richards in Joliet, Illinois.

Marianne enjoyed baking and won many awards at the County and State Fair for her candy and baked goods. She will be remembered for her feisty personality, great sense of humor and her love of her family (even her beloved cat Henry).

She is survived by her children Carmen E. Cacia (Judy A.), Michael T. Cacia (Deborah K.), and Matilda Kaye Torres (Jerry); grandchildren Christy Clark (Jon), Amy Dicus (Adam), Emily Cacia-Garland (Randy), Amanda Myers (Josh), Andrea Conrad (Kevin), Jeremy Torres (Ellen), Ryan Torres, and Josh Torres; great-grandchildren Noah, Judy, Keira, Katlyn, Abigail, Bella, Dakota, Wesley, Mandy, Joshlyn, Anna, Faith, Josiah and Nathanael; brother Jim Richards (Gale), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Carmen Cacia and Edward E. Walker, as well as 12 siblings.

The family would like to thank the staff from IU Hospice for the care and compassion they provided to Marianne and her family.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 28 from 12 to 2 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington, Indianapolis with Funeral Services beginning at 2 PM.  Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
