Marian Frances Glanzman

Marian Frances Glanzman, 99, Fishers, Indiana passed away peacefully at 9:30 a.m. on February 11, 2018 at Hamilton Trace Senior Living. Marian was born August 30, 1918 to Arthur Jessie Brown and Isa Blue-Brown. She married Taylor D. Swartz of Indianapolis (divorced) whom she had a daughter, Shirley Ann Johnston and later married Manuel Glanzman of Indianapolis, all of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sister, Melvin Brown, Elaine Barto, Byron Brown, A.J. Brown. She is survived by her brother, Dean Brown; grandson, Brad (Terri) Johnston; granddaughter, Allison (Eric) Green; great-grandchildren, Sydney Green, Payton Johnston, Ashlynn Green, Kendall Johnston and Alexis Green; and dear friend and co-worker, Kathie Gose.

Marian began working as a waitress in the L.S. Ayres Tea Room and later worked in retail sales for Sears & Roebuck at Lafayette Square Mall and Lorraine’s Boutique in Carmel, Indiana, finally retiring in 1996. She loved spending time with her family and friends, traveling, listening to Country-Western Music & playing games but what she enjoyed most was being surrounded by the love of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored. Marian was a special, kind-hearted, fun-loving person and was eager to help those she loved. Her sweetness, kindness and spunk will be missed by those who loved her so much and by those whose life she touched.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
