Maria Elva (Rodriguez) Ramirez, 73 of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, November 25, 2016. Maria was born June 12, 1943 in Brownsville, Texas to the late Calletano Rodriguez and Paula (Almaguer) Rodriguez.
She lived most of her life in Indianapolis. She was a graduate of Decatur Central High School. Maria was a pioneer entrepreneur, that included being the 1st hispanic female business owner in the city of Indianapolis. Maria's hobbies included her family and her businesses.
Preceded in death by her brothers, Isaiah, Juan, and Ricardo and her sister, Lupe. Survivors include her husband, Salvadore (Santos), son, Jeff (Angel), brothers, Tomas, Santana and Moises and sister, Elida, granddaughters Amanda (TJ), Megan (John), and Shania, great-grandchildren, Jackson, Zane, Chevelle, Jovie and Leonardo as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 11 AM until service time at 1 PM, Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46221.
