Margot Susan Huffman

Margot Susan (Schafer) Beanblossom Huffman, 86 years old passed away on August 16, 2024. She was born November 24, 1937, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Norman Frederick and Edith May (Free) Schafer, Sr. Margot was one of the first woman Inspector’s at Allison Transmission where she retired from. She also assisted with cosmetics and hair at the former Beanblossom Funeral Home as well as the Farley Funeral Homes here in Indianapolis, IN. Margot had numerous interest which included, but was not limited to gardening, which the family said she had a real green-thumb, sewing, she was an excellent cook, enjoyed shopping, always looking for a bargain, furniture restoration as well as she enjoyed indoor house painting and was said to do an excellent job on the walls she would have painted. Margot dearly loved spending time with her family and the time she shared with them she cherished. She will be missed by many. Margot was survived by her children, Kevin (Theresa) Beanblossom, Suzy Ann Beanblossom, Brent Lee Beanblossom, Cynthia Lynn (Ben) Beanblossom, 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and her brother, Norman F. (Kerry) Schafer, Jr. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her sons, Kurt and Christopher Beanblossom. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 11:00am-1:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with the funeral service at 1:00pm there. Pastor Jeremy Towne will be officiating at the service. Margot will be laid to rest at Bluff Creek Cemetery in rural Johnson County, Indiana.
