Margaret May Overman

Margaret Overman, 86, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 11, 2019.

Margaret was born on December 27, 1932 in Indianapolis to the late John and Daisy Ellis. Margaret spent a few years working for Western Southern but was primarily known for taking care of her home and children. She was an outstanding cook, and the family all enjoyed gathering together on Friday nights for family dinner. In her earlier years she enjoyed going fishing and camping and playing bingo. Margaret made friends where ever she went, she cherished the friendships she made at Manor Care Indy South and loved crocheting them all scarfs. She will be dearly missed by those who knew her.

She leaves behind her children, Thomas Overman (Betty) and Diana Spaulding (Daryl); grandchildren, Josh Overman (Breanna), Keith Overman, Ashley Vance (Justin), James Spaulding (Leigh), Lora Engleman (Joseph); great-grandchildren, Presley, Mona, Wyatt, and Caleib; and her brother, Scott Ellis. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, James T. Overman; great-grandson, Jagger; and siblings, Bud, Louise, and Charlie.

Friends and family are invited to gather from 10:00am-12:00pm on Friday, March 15, 2019 at Flanner Buchanan- Washington Park East, with a funeral service to follow at 12:00pm. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
