Margaret Louise Moyer

Margaret L. Moyer, 88, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away December 11, 2018 at her home. She was born October 30, 1930 in Sandborn Indiana to Hugh and Thelma Hastings.

She married Milton G. Moyer in 1952. She retired after 26 years as a Kindergarten Teacher’s Aid from MSD Decatur Township School System; she continued to volunteer for an additional 13 years in the classroom and office. Margaret dearly loved her family and friends and loved spending time with them.

Surviving to cherish her memory are husband of 66 years, Milton G. Moyer; children, Barbara (Scott) Raschick, Sharon Manuel, James (Rosemarie) Moyer, Julie (Kelly) Moyer, and Judy Moyer; grandchildren, Rocky, Cliff (Kara), Steve, Andrew, and Jaymee; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Virgina Pollert, Caroline Gather, and Larry Hastings; as well as a host of extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Vernon, Herb, and James Hastings.

Family and friends are invited to visit Monday, December 17 from 4-8 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46221. Funeral services will take place Tuesday, December 18 at 10 AM with visitation one hour prior. Margaret will be laid to rest at Washington Park North Cemetery.
