Margaret Francis Cannon Hefley Williams, age 93 of Indianapolis passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018.
Margaret was born April 13, 1925 in Sumner County, Tennessee but spent most of her life in Indianapolis. She was a full time homemaker who enjoyed short term work in the Lawrence Township Schools’ cafeteria and at Laughner’s Restaurant. Church was a large part of Margaret’s life, and she was a 60 year member of The Caring Place (Calvary Temple) Assembly of God Church. As children were her passion, she taught Sunday School there for many years. She also loved playing dolls and games with her own little ones and those in her neighborhood.
She is preceded in death by her husband T.W. Williams, with whom she spent 60 years.
Survivors include loved ones Allen Wayne Hefley, Doris Williams Albright, and Connie Hobbs; four granddaughters Angela, Carrie, Natalie, and Natasha; and 15 great-grandchildren including her constant companions Tatyana and Anastasia who will deeply miss Grandma.
Margaret’s spunk and determination helped her survive a difficult few years. She had no intention of being “on time” for death. But she is now peacefully resting with Jesus.
Visitation for Margaret will be held Monday, July 2 from 12 to 2 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis. Funeral Services will begin at 2 PM with Entombment following at Washington Park East Cemetery.
