Marcia E. Meyer

Marcia Elaine (Dennis) Meyer went to be with the Lord on January 20th, 2022. She was born on January 27th, 1936 to the Late Hershel H. Dennis and Chloedena (Holmes) Dennis.

Her parents moved to Indianapolis from Linton in 1942 when she was 6 years old, where she lived until her home-going.

Preceding Marcia in death was her loving and kind husband of 42 years, Robert D. Meyer in February of 2000; whom she cared for throughout his long illness.

Marcia is survived by her son Dennis (Terrie) Meyer; daughter Kellee (Mark) Johnson; 4 grandchildren Rick (Jenna) Meyer, Amanda (Jonah) Winston, Laura (Aaron) Herring and Stephen Johnson; 3 step grandsons Andrew, Nicholas, and Alex Hall; great-grandchildren Margaret and Logan Meyer and Brooklyn Johnson, Kaden and Gavin Herring, Kaela, Jude and Pierce Hall.

Marcia is also survived by her loving sister Millicent “Millie” Davis, her sister-in-law Erma Miller, her former daughter-in-law Valerie Inman-Hoover, her niece Elaine Musgrave, and her nephews Donald (Melissa) Davis and David (Tami) Miller.

Marcia was a devoted Christian and a commissioned Stephen Minister. She loved working in church ministries by teaching Sunday school, organizing Fish Fry events and funeral dinners. She was involved in women’s and senior groups that held card clubs and traveled on day trips together. She loved to host dinners and parties with her family and was a fantastic cook. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

In appreciation and thanks, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or American Cancer Society.

 

Private services will be held Monday January 31st, visitation from 11-12pm; service at 12pm. Please join the family virtually by viewing the service with this link.
