Marcella G. Whitman

Marcella Whitman was born on August 31, 1966 in Johnson County to Marshall E. Burton and Margaret E. Burton.

Marcella always had a big heart, and loved everyone. She was the sunday school teacher at her church, loved working with the children, and loved going to church. Marcella worked at white castle for 18 years. While her children were growing up she always worked two jobs to support them.

Marcella is survived by her mother, Margaret; brothers Joseph Burton and Dean Burton; sisters, Marlene Longelin, Tammy Garcia, and Rebecca Roach; her three children, Justin Whitman, Thomas (Sarah) Whitman, and Melinda (Chris) Belfi; seven grandchildren, Nevaeh, Savannah, Georgia, Ellen, James, Chasity, and Jonathon. Marcella was preceded in passing by her father, Marshall Burton.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday October 13, 2021 at Cottage Avenue Pentecostal Fellowship (840 Cottage Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46203). A Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am at the church on Thursday October 14, 2021. Memorial contributions may be made to Cottage Avenue Pentecostal Fellowship.
