Marcella Dean

Marcella Dean, 99, of Indianapolis passed away on November 28, 2016.

Marcella was born on March 4, 1917 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Joseph and Anna Montag. She married Herschel Dean on February 20, 1938 in Newport, KY. Herschel retired from the Army, but during his early years in service they had the opportunity to live in Germany and Anchorage, AK. After returning to Indianapolis Marcella retired in 1979 after 25 years in the civil service and she and Herschel moved to Port Richey, FL to enjoy retirement. Herschel passed away in 1992, and Marcella moved back to Indianapolis in 2000.

Marcella is survived by her two sons; Gary (Ruth) and Terry (Jeannie) Dean, 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and son-in-law, Robert Hoskins. She is preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Barrie, parents and 5 siblings.

A funeral service will take place 2:00pm on Saturday, December 3, 2016 with visitation a half an hour prior to the service at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East.
