Magda Kelemen Csetenyi

97, of Indianapolis, passed away on December 26, 2016. Magda was born in Budapest, Hungary on January 9, 1919. She was a fiercely independent woman. She faced many challenges in her life with determination and grace. After her retirement from Western Electric, she continued to devote even more time and energy to her family, friends and numerous volunteer organizations. She had a strong faith, loved to travel, meet people and serve her community.
She is survived by her daughter, Magda Gutowski (Gerald) and stepson, Andrew Csetenyi (Marilyn) as well as 5 step-grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and her faithful dog, Lilly.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Indianapolis.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 10 at 11:00 am with a calling at 10:00 am at St.Pius X Catholic Church, 2850 E. 71st, Indianapolis. Arrangements entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan-Broad Ripple. Online condolences may be made at flannerbuchanan.com.
