Magaleen A. Meador

Magaleen A. Meador, 92, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 25, 2018.

Magaleen was born on August 20, 1926 in Lafayette, Tennessee to the late Corley and Stella Belle Allen. She worked for over 20 years at RCA before going back to nursing school. She worked as a nurse for Community Hospital East retiring in 1986 and continuing to serve as a private caregiver for friends and church members. She was a member of Community Hospital East Retirees and Old Bethel United Methodist Church.

She leaves behind her daughters, Bonnie Cain (Clyde), Earlette Lee and Wendy Pruitt (Mark); grandchildren Sam Terrell (Daria), Jennifer Terrell, Jason Lee, Kelli VanSurksum (Chris), Katie Bain (Shannon), and Kim Janssen (Jarrad); great-grandchildren Preston Terrell, Kailyn Terrell, Jaron Terrell, Cruz Lee, Payton Lee, Aspen Jones (Josh), Katie VanSurksum, Mia Bain, Milan Bain, Madden Bain and Maverick Bain; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl W. Meador; son-in-law, Ron Lee; 5 brothers, 3 sisters and her parents.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 30 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St, Indianapolis with Funeral Services beginning at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
