Mack V. Furlow, Jr. passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 3, 2022. He was born on August 20, 1931, in Summit, Mississippi. Mack was a true southern gentleman, and he will be missed by his family and friends. He leaves behind his wife, Diane Hearn and two sons, David and Kevin (Janet). He had two grandsons Zachary (Meris) and Nathanael (Caroline) as well as one great-grandson JJ. Mack moved to his beloved New Orleans when he was young and was a graduate of LSU and Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program. He served in the US Army Infantry Branch as a 2nd Lieutenant. Mack started his career with Esso/Exxon Oil Company and went on to become the corporate controller for Blount Brothers Corporation in Montgomery, Alabama. He ended his career as SVP, CFO, Treasurer, and member of the Board of Directors for The Hunt Corporation and Hunt Construction Group in Indianapolis. He retired in 1996. He served on the board of the National Association of Accountants, Financial Executives International and the Southern Club of Indianapolis. He enjoyed attending the Indy 500, baseball games, entertaining and loved a good story.
A celebration of Mack’s life will be held on July 15th from 3-5 p.m. at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd W Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46228
