Mable Judith Thorne

Mable Judith Thorne, 84 of Indianapolis, IN passed away December 17, 2021. She was born March 28, 1937 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Roy E. and Ruth J. (White) Zook. Mable worked for Anthem for many years. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, American Legion Auxiliary and the IWBA (Indianapolis Women’s Bowling Association). Mable loved spending time and enjoying her grandchildren, and great grandchildren no matter what they were doing. She enjoyed watching the Game Show Network, the Hallmark Channel, was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, watching the Indianapolis Colts, sewing things with her sister, shopping at Kohl’s and putting together jigsaw puzzles. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her children, Edward (Mindy) Thorne, Pamela (Keith) Bontrager, Geraldine (Norman) Banister, Angela (Ernest) Vickers, Candice (Kurt) Judd, 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, her sister, Doris Moore and sister-in-law, Laura Morgason. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Charles Thorne, 3 grandchildren and 12 of her siblings. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 1PM at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church 535 E. Edgewood Ave. Indianapolis, IN with visitation there from 11:30 am. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
