Lynn "Andy" Carter Anderson

Lynn Carter Anderson, known as Andy, was born in Rockford Illinois on May 14, 1942 to Earl V. and Gladys Marie Anderson. As a young boy, his family relocated to Indianapolis. Andy married his high school sweetheart, Judith Dobson in 1963. They had three children, Traci Lynn, Brent Carter, and Shannon Carole. He was active in youth sports leagues, coaching teams for both Brent and Shannon in Warren Township. Andy retired from Allison Gas Turbine after over 30 years, and was a courier for Lab Corp for nine years before retiring to Florida. Andy was preceded in death by his daughter Traci Lynn, Father Earl V., his Mother Gladys Marie, brothers Greg and Travis, and sisters Sharon and Karen. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Judy Anderson, children Brent Anderson (Jenny) and Shannon Grillo (Donald), Grandaughters Traci Grillo and Jenna Grillo, and sisters Darlene Glenn (Leonard) and Debbie Davidson (Greg). Services will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 12 pm with a visitation period for friends and family two hours prior. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to – The Alzheimers Foundation; Community Hospice (East); and Stillwater Adult Daycare.
