Lula G. Mitchell

Lula G. Mitchell, 94, of Indianapolis passed away peacefully on November 30, 2018.

Lula was born to the late John and Flisters Laster in Tippo, MS. She worked in the cafeteria for South Wayne School Corp. retiring in 1991. Lula was a member of the VFW and the Eastern Star. She was a dedicated member of Ben Davis Christian Church up until her passing. Lula will be missed sorely by all of the lives she has touched.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester Mitchell; and daughter, Sherry Melton.

Lula is survived by her son-in-law, Steve Melton; grandchildren, Jeffrey Melton, Debbie (Brian) Wood; and 1 great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 11AM-1PM at Flanner Buchanan—Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46222. A funeral service will follow at 1PM. Lula will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to Ben Davis Christian Church. 701 S High School Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46241.
