Luis S. Bengero

Luis S. Bengero MD of (Portage) Carmel, IN, passed away on July 14, 2024, at the age of 88. He was born in Manila, Philippines, on August 20, 1935, to parents, Miguel and Modesta (Santa Ana) Bengero. Luis was a Family practice doctor for over 30 years. Luis could always be found listening to music and singing along with his great voice. Of course not the right lyrics but at least he tried. He enjoyed time outdoors tending to his yard, spray painting objects of all kinds, and enjoys gardening. He was a devote parishioner at Nativity of Our Savior Parish in Portage, IN.

Luis (Loy) married the love of his life, Merle (Neng), they spent 59 wonderful years together, she preceded him in death. He is survived by children, Mary (Andrew) Trinkle, Lowell (Jae) Bengero; Luis (Laura) Bengero; grandchildren, Leo “LJ” (Ashley) Mainville III., Megan (Spencer) Sandusky, Lourdes Bengero, Jake Bengero; great-grandchildren, Silas Sandusky, Leo M. Mainville, Charlotte Mainville; siblings.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Miguel and Modesta Bengero.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm, Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, IN.
