Lucinda “Cindy” Gorman, 55, left this world too soon, on September 12th, 2024. She was born in Indianapolis, November 3rd, 1968, to parents James Leroy and Hester M. (Wright) DeLoach.
Cindy grew up on the east side of Indianapolis and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1987.
When she was a young woman, she met the love of her life, Barry Gorman. On September 2, 1989, they wed and shared 35 wonderful years together.
Cindy worked for the Department of Transportation for 30 years, she had several different jobs, but her last post was as a Financial Analyst and Land Records Administrator.
Cindy was a vibrant, loving woman. A proud “Dead Head”, she and her husband loved seeing the Grateful Dead, and many other artists. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling (by air), dining out, and reading.
Cindy is survived by her husband Barry Gorman; her daughter Hannah; Sister Diana, (Jay Smith); Sister-in-law Tanya (Robert Huskisson); nephew Zachary Huskisson, nieces Alisa Huskisson, Beth West, Amy Sudduth and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, Hester and James DeLoach and her brother Jimmy.
Visitation for Cindy will be Tuesday, September 17th, from 4-8pm at Flanner Buchanan- Memorial Park (9350 E. Washington Street). Additional visitation will be Wednesday, September 18th, from 10am-12pm. Her funeral will begin at 12pm. She will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery.
