Lucinda A. Winegardner
72, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully, on November 16, 2020. Lucinda was born December 22, 1947 to the late Robert Wayne Ruse and Anna Marie (Jennings) who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Heather Winegardner-Letter. Lucinda’s maternal grandmother, Ann Jennings was very influential in her life. She instilled great American family values in Lucinda and helped her become the daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother we will remember. Lucinda was a kind and loving woman who enjoyed traveling to St. Petersburg, Florida and enjoying the beach. She also enjoyed spending time around her swimming pool. She was an avid reader, an adored her grandchildren. Lucinda was a member of the Pike Township Lions Club and St. Margaret’s Guild. She worked as a Unit Secretary for Methodist Hospital for 40 years until her retirement.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Stephen E Winegardner; Daughter, Alicia Jo Wheeler (Michael) of Speedway, IN brothers, Tim Ruse (Sue) of Monticello, IN and Daniel Ruse (Carol) of Brownsburg, IN; son-in-law, Richard Letter; three grandchildren, Riley, Reis, and Ryan Wheeler.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020 from 11-12pm with a Lions Club Memorial Service at 11:40 located at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park North 2706 Kessler Blvd West Dr.
A Memorial Service will follow at 12pm.
