Lucille Irwin, 83, of Indianapolis went to be with our Lord July 30, 2020.
She was born in Morgantown, Kentucky in 1937 amidst many family members. In her teens, the family moved to Indianapolis, Indiana and within a few short years met and married her first husband. After much growth, she met and married her second husband Kermit Avedon who supported her endeavor to become a master degree beautician, which led her to own her own salon in the late 60’s for almost a decade. After Kermit’s tragic passing, she continued applying her skills in beautifying the east side of Indianapolis. Shortly there after she met the love of her life, Herbert Irwin and gained one amazing step son. She then decided to spread her gift of beauty to three reputable and well established nursing facilities for which she remained doing in through and beyond the passing of the love of her life in 2001. Lucille continued with her passion for her clientele until her retirement in 2002. Once in retirement, her true passion shown through which was the love she had for her grandchildren, great grandchildren and close knit family. She throughly enjoyed Poptarts, Nascar, dark chocolate, yard sales and retail therapy.
Lucille is survived by her sons, Charles Graham of Evansville, Indiana, Kermit Avedon of Clayton, Indiana, daughter Cynthia (Avedon) Monday of Indianapolis, Indiana and her step daughter-in-law April Irwin. Her grandchildren Tracy (Graham) Majors, Laura Graham, Amber (Graham) Ungethiem, Megan (Graham) Cox, Nicole Avedon, Miranda Monday, Lauren, Logan and Addison Irwin. Her great grandchildren Logan and Jacob Russ. Brylee, Lillian and Brooks Ungethiem. And any minute now, Lucille (Lucy) Cox. Robert Quantz III and Donavon Finch.
Lucille is preceded in death by her parents Delmar and Cletus House. Siblings Louise (House) Barnett and Cecil House. The love of her life Herbert Irwin. Her favorite step child Patric Irwin.
