Louis Joseph Henry

Louis “Louie” J. Henry of Avon, Indiana, died Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at the age of 84. He was born January 7,1937 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to parents Louis and Frances Henry (Lawson). Louie served his country in the United States Marine Corp. and was extremely proud of his service. In 1955 he met the love of his life, Grace “Marie” Everett, in Suffolk Virginia. He was married to Marie for 66 years, having one son, Mike. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and uncle. Louie enjoyed the simple things in life. He was a homebody. His favorite place to be was at home spending time with his wife and his puppy “Bo” who brought him much joy. Louie is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Grace Marie Henry, their son, Mike Henry, his brother Don Henry, sister Marcy Yaryan, and sister Lucy Steddenbenz. Louie is survived by his sister in law Brenda Babb and brother in law Winifred Carter of Suffolk, VA and nieces, Sue Craig, (John), and Arlene Russell, (Greg), and nephew, Donnie Cook, (Linda). The family is honoring Louie’s wishes to not hold a memorial service. He will be laid to rest next to his wife and son at Floral Park Cemetery.
