Louis F Maners

August 13, 1920 — August 4, 2020

Indianapolis, Indiana

Louis F Maners was born August 13, 1920 to Fredrick M Maners and Harriet M Maners in Àvon, IN. He attended school at Ben Davis and graduated high school from Àvon High School in 1938.

He was married to Agnes M White in July of 1940 and remained united until her passing in 2012.  First son, Denton was born in 1942, the second, Douglas in 1945.

Early in the marriage Louis served in the US Army as an infantryman.  After discharge from the Army he began a career as a Government Meat Inspector, receiving many honors in that field.  He served in that capacity for forty plus years before retiring.

The Maners served faithfully in churches in Lebanon, Lawrence and Indianapolis, IN.

Louis is preceded in death by his beloved Agnes in 2012 and by his eldest son Denton in 2019.

He is survived by his son Douglas Maners, by six grandchildren, by eleven great grandchildren and by two great great grandchildren.

Friends and family will miss the endless stories, the teasing and the tenacious pride in family.

Rest in peace Louie, we’ll meet you on the other side.
