Louie Meador

March 28, 1956 — September 1, 2018

Indianapolis, Indiana

Louie A. Meador, 62 of Indianapolis, Indiana. It is with great sadness we announce Louie’s unexpected passing on September 1st, 2018.

Louie was a dedicated, hard working man.  He spent his entire career as a sheet metal mechanic installer for HVAC.  He spent the last few years working beside his amazing work family at Godby Heating and Air.

His passions included watching football, stock car racing, playing the drums, wood working and spending time with the love of his life, his soul mate, his wife Audrey.  In their spare time, Louie and Audi enjoyed yearly fishing trips to Dale Hollow Lake, hunting, riding their Harley, participating in multiple charity rides and attending their grandchildren’s activities.

Louie will always be remembered for being a jokester, his inappropriate sense of humor, his Donald Duck voice, flashing his “sexy abs”, harassing the neighbors and mailman and poking fun at anyone he came in contact with.  And lets not forget the way he always answered the telephone when you called …. “YAAAAAH”!

Our family is forever grateful for the exceptional care and compassion provided by all of those who were on scene including the Indianapolis Fire Department, IEMS paramedics and EMTs, the Indianapolis Fire Department dispatcher and the ER staff at Eskenazi Hospital.  A heart felt thank you to the many neighbors who came to assist and offer their support.

To Louie, family was not just an important thing, it was EVERYTHING.  He leaves behind his loving wife and best friend of 26 years, Audrey Meador; his three beautiful daughters: Dawn Meador, Stephanie Meador, and Tracey Fulton;  his 6 amazing grandkids: Shelby (Daniel) and Bryanna Madison, Austin and Lindsey Holmer, Alyssa and Brooke Fulton; and his one and only great granddaughter, Tinley McCracken; and his pride and joy, GiGi.

A celebration of Louie’s life will be at Flanner Buchanan- Washington Park East located at 10722 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, IN 46229 for family and friends on Friday September 7th at 10:00 am.  Memorial Service will immediately follow at 2:30 pm.

Family is requesting that friends and family wear Harley Davidson attire if possible.  We all know he would feel completely out of place all dressed up and would want everyone to be comfortable.
