Lottie M. Magness, 86, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on October 1st, 2024. She was born April 3rd, 1938, to parents Charles Geabhart and Florence Geabhart. 

Lottie grew up on the East side of Indianapolis and graduated from Shortridge high school. 

She worked for RCA/BNG for 14 years, before retiring. 

Lottie married the love of her life, Dale T. Magness Sr. They shared 48 wonderful years together before Dale passed away June, 2007. 

In her younger years, she attended Holy Spirit Catholic Church, and her Catholic faith remained important to her throughout her life. 

Lottie was a strong, loving woman. She adored her family and spent as much time with them as possible. Lottie was a very talented artist, specializing in still life paintings and drawings. She took great pride in her home, tending to her beautiful flower gardens. 

She is survived by her children Theresa McDannell (The Late Chuck McDannell), Christine Magness, Dale “Tom” Magness Jr. (Diane), Brian Magness, and Brent Magness (Melissa); grandchildren Natasha Magness, Steven Magness, Amanda Magness (Mike), Tim Magness Jr., Christopher Magness, Phillip Magness, Mary Magness, Kelly Magness, Kaylee and Matthew Neiten; great grandchildren Aniya (Ari), Giselle (Tre), Isaiah, Justice, and Sam; brother Charles Geabhart Jr.; and niece Lisa Geabhart. 

Lottie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dale; her son Timothy Magness; and her sister Florence Mae Geabhart; and great-granddaughter Naelani. 

Lottie’s graveside service will be Thursday, October 10th, at 4pm, at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East. Family and guests are encouraged to meet at the funeral home at 3:45pm so everyone can drive out to the graveside together.
