Loretta Blair, 84, passed away February 12, 2020. She was born a coal miner’s daughter and raised in Thornton, Kentucky and has resided in Indianapolis since 1966. Loretta was married to her loving husband of almost 68 years, John E. Blair. She was well loved by everyone she met, and really enjoyed outdoor sports including boating, fishing, hunting and camping until well into her 80s.
Loretta has four children that love her so dearly, Rhonda (Gary) Larison, Rickey Blair, Tuwana Farnworth, and Adrian (Lois) Blair. She is loved by her five grandchildren, Julia (Elliot) Santner, Ashley Larison, Nicholas Blair, Amy Blair, Michelle Pedigo; and five surviving sisters, Coetta Combs, Claudette Tyrell, Jolene Showman, Ivetta “Fern” VanHuss, and Sheila Estes. She has seven great grandchildren: Jaedyn, Ryleigh, Nathan, Zachary, Allison, Billy, and Clara. Loretta will be missed by each of her family members and friends every day.
Loretta was preceded in death by her father Edgar Lucas, mother Julie Lucas, brother Edgar “Neal” Lucas, and sister Shelby Janes.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 11AM to 1PM with a funeral service to begin at 1PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, 46229.
