Lorentz P Davis

Lorentz Paul Davis passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020. He was born July 3rd, 1938, in Cumberland, Maryland, to parents S. Fred and Mary (McDowell) Davis.H

Lorentz served proudly in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army Guard.

He attended Long Beach California City College and Purdue University, U.S. Naval Management School.

He was a long time member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Lorentz coached the Lourdes football team and taught swimming lessons at the YMCA. He also volunteered for the American Cancer Society teaching smoking cessation classes.

He was the president of the Toastmaster Club 199, a member of the board of managers for Ransburg YMCA, American Legion and the USS Yorktown Association.He played basketball and baseball, and ran track on the Navistar teams.

Lorentz retired from Navistar International Company after 46 years of service.

He is survived by his wife Dodie after 59 years of marriage; daughters, Laura, Debbie, Leslie and Danita; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
