Lorene B. (Burkhart) Bishop "Frankie"

Lorene B. (Burkhart) Bishop “Frankie”, 97, of Oaklandon, Indiana passed away April 18^th, 2020 at 8:15pm. She was born February 7^th, 1923 in Indianapolis.

Frankie married the love of her life, Bob O. Bishop, May 18^th, 1963 in Arcadia, Indiana. She worked as a housekeeper, cocktail waitress, a tall girl model, at a gym at RCA, and as a babysitter/nanny. They called her Aunt Frankie.

She loved to read fashion, babies, cooking, and clipping recipes for family to cook after she couldn’t cook anymore.

She was a spit fire lady. She’d make you want to cry and mad at the same time. It took getting used to with maturity and realizing she only meant the best.

Frankie is survived by her husband Bob O. Bishop, daughter Kimberly Pokalsey, grandchildren (oldest to youngest) Cindy Brooks Marsh, Richard Upton, Angela (Brooks) Butrum, Jeff Upton, Tina (Brooks) Barham, Tim Brooks, Michelle R. Bowen, Samuel Shane Bishop Bowen, Kayla Pokalsey, Destiny Pokalsey; and several Great-Grandchildren.

Frankie is preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Lillian Burkhart; siblings: Norman Burkhart, Evelyn Dobkins, Jack Burkhart, Peggy McDonald; and children: Gene Brooks, Sharon  Upton, and Gary Brooks.
