Loraine Frances Peckman-Gleeson, 75, of Lake Mary, FL formerly of Bloomington, IN and previously Elizabeth Township, PA passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Brookdale-Carmel Alzheimer’s Home in Carmel, IN. She was born February 18, 1945, in McKeesport, PA to the late Floyd E. Peckman and Barbara J. Johnston-Peckman, and sister of the late Russell C. Peckman.
She was a 1963 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School. She first and foremost was a loving wife, mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A best friend to us all. In her younger years she enjoyed family gatherings, card-clubs with her girlfriends, and a good game of badminton! She attended Greenock First United Methodist Church while living in Pennsylvania. Decorating, fashion, scrapbooking, dancing, and entertaining were a few of her passions. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James Richard Gleeson, of Lake Mary, FL; son, Richard T. Gleeson and his partner Billie Smith, of Evanston, IL; daughter, Jill Lynn Gleeson-Clancy, of Bloomington, IN; sister, Beverly H. Peckman-Zager, of York, PA.; grandchildren, Amanda N. Clancy and Gretta Grear Gleeson; great-granddaughter, Denver Loraine Green; and nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID restrictions, there there will not be a Funeral Visitation at this time. Arrangements are being taken care of by Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, 325 E. Carmel Dr., Carmel, IN, 46032.
