Lois Lavon Demotte

June 14, 1943 — August 10, 2017

Lois Lavon DeMotte, age 74 of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at her home August 10, 2017. She was born June 14, 1943 in Petersburg, Indiana to Richard J. and Olive Ilene Stubblefield Masters, who precede her in death. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She grew up in Petersburg and came to Indianapolis in her youth. She was a faithful member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. She loved bowling, sewing, cross stitch and canning.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Robert L. DeMotte, sisters, Irene Cardinal, Melba Davis, Norma Lee Masters, Mary Masters and Linda Richardson and brothers, Charles Masters, Richard J. Masters, Jr. and Raymond Masters. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Pam (Robert) Hefner and Debbie (Dave Ahles) Walters, sisters, Clarice Wiscaver, Virginia Dean and Ruth Devine and brother, Joe Masters as well as grandchildren, Clayton Walters, Nichole Novak, Jessica Walters, Noah Hefner and Caleb Hefner.

Friends may visit from 4-8 PM Friday August 18, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan – Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Rd., Indianapolis. A celebration of Lois’ life will be at 10 AM Saturday at Flanner and Buchanan – Floral Park. Please share memories and condolences at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
