Lois Kathleen (Williams) Wegener
Passed away on December 31, 2016 in Noblesville, IN. Lois ‘Kay’ Wegener was born 16 September 1920 in Freedom, Owen County, IN.
Kay graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis in 1939. She met her husband, Ralph, on the tennis court and later they began a life-long love of golf. Always competitive, Kay was a thirty-year member of the Brickyard Crossing Golf Course and The Martinsville Golf Club.
After WWII, Speedway became home for her family and Kay immediately joined “The Jolly Homemakers”, a Purdue University Extension group that met continuously from 1949 through 2002! More recently, Kay belonged to the Monteray Homemakers in Noblesville.
Kay Wegener is preceded in death by her parents, Solomon and Maude (Arthur) Williams; husband, Ralph James Wegener; and six siblings: Doris, Ken, Dean, Huldah and Fred. She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Siddall and Pamela Meyer (C. Dana); six grandchildren: Melonie Siddall, Ron Siddall, Lisa Siddall, Abbie (Meyer) Mota, Laura (Meyer) Naab, and Betsy Meyer; and two great grandchildren, Jeremy Houle and Luciana Mota.
Memorial services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, with calling from 12 Noon until the service time.
