Lois Dakin Wilder Paugh

Lois Dakin Wilder Paugh, formerly of Ocala, Fl., Greenwood, In., and Lehigh Acres, Fl., passed away November 23, 2018 at the age of 90. Born on November 13, 1928 at the home of her parents, Ralph and Pearl Dakin, she was a 1946 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis. During her time spent living in Indiana, Lois was a member of the Beech Grove Order of the Eastern Star. A lifelong Southside until her retirement from First Bank and Trust Company, Indianapolis, Indiana in 1984, she and her second husband, William F. Paugh Jr., moved to Ocala, Florida in 1984. Upon his death in 1995, she returned to Indiana in 1999, living in Greenwood until moving to Lehigh Acres, Florida in 2017.

Surviving her are her sons, Darryl S. Wilder (Kristie) of Lehigh Acres, Florida, and Richard W. Paugh (Mary Ann) of Olney, Maryland; Step-sons Dennis Paugh of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Michael Paugh of Bloomington, Indiana; Grandchildren Jonathan Wilder (Stephanie) of Ft. Meade, Maryland, and Joshua Wilder of Lehigh Acres, Florida, Joy Lee Allen (Joe) of Indianapolis, Indiana; Great-grandchildren Christian and Lena Wilder (Jonathan).

Predeceased by her first husband, Morris E. Wilder and second husband William F. Paugh Jr.; brother, Richard Dakin and step-daughter Deborah Ann Paugh. Viewing will be at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East , 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, on December 8th, 2018, from 10:00 A.M. until noon, with a funeral service following at 12:00 P.M. Internment at Washington Park East Cemetery. There will be no graveside service. It is requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Shriners’ Children’s Hospital.
