Lois Bernice -Nickie- Phillips

Lois Bernice “Nickie” Phillips, 86, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 26, 2016. She was born on February 7, 1930 in West Frankfort, IL to the late Steven Glen and Georgia Irene (Willett) Nichols. Lois was a 56 year member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Howard W. Phillips; daughters, Carolyn (Larry) Waters and Colleen (Raymond J.) LoRae; 4 grandchildren, Jonathan Waters, Christina Michelle Stewart, Stephen Tyler Smock, Nicholas Leffler; 2 great-grandchildren, Mikaela and Aryana Stewart. Lois is also survived by sisters, Carol Diane Anderson and Anna Kreft; along with many nieces and nephews, in addition to very special nephews, Howard Dale Phillips and Michael Dale Phillips. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation for Mrs. Phillips will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 5 -8pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park. Funeral services will take place on Saturday morning at 11am at Church of God of Prophecy: 4301 Hoyt Ave. Indianapolis. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
