Lloyd “Ed” Edward Skeel, 75, passed away unexpectedly on October 17th, 2020. Ed leaves behind his loving wife Linda of 53 years, son Shawn Skeel, daughter-in-law Michelle, grandson Storm Skeel, granddaughter Heather McHenry, grandson Thomas Riffe and his wife Courtney, granddaughter Danielle Riffe, great-grandchildren Airianna and Ayden, and sisters Dolores Swallow and Debby Green.
Ed is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Jean Skeel.
After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Ed worked at Freightliner Star & News in the mailroom, where he made many friends and enjoyed his time there. He then worked at Carr Metal until he retired.
Ed was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the Navy aboard the USS Bryce Canyon, based out of Long Beach, California. He was very patriotic and believed in supporting his country and flag. He enjoyed art and drawing, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his loved ones. He had a special love for attending Pow Wows with is son Shawn and grandson Storm, where he made many friends.
Shawn made one of his dreams come true by taking him to the Vietnam Wall and Arlington Cemetery. A trip that meant so very much to him.
As a lover of animals, he recently lost his beloved fur baby, Jinx, who was eagerly awaiting him at the rainbow bridge.
Ed’s favorite pastime was giving people grief. He was best known for his quick wit and sharp tongue. He was deeply loved and will be severely missed by his family and friends.
