Linda Madewell

69, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 23, 2017. Linda was born on June 18, 1947 in Smith County, TN to the late Will Allen and Myrtle Jackson. Linda was a homemaker, but did not know a stranger and was known throughout the neighborhood for her cooking, in particular her cakes and pies! She also was the neighborhood cat lady and took in many cats over the years. Additionally, she played piano for her church, Word of Life Church. She will be greatly missed by all! In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Madewell and a sister Dorothy Hawkins. She is survived by her sons Earl Madewell, Joey (Christina) Madewell, sisters Betty (Elmer) Goolsby, Faye (Howard) Wallace and 4 grandchildren Nikki, Jessica, Josie and Noah. Visitation will be held Friday from 4-8pm at Flanner and Buchanan- Floral Park, with services Saturday at 1:00pm in the funeral center. Entombment will follow the services in Floral Park Cemetery.
