Linda attended University of Indianapolis. She worked hard and dedicated many hours to building her career beginning with HP and The Wholesale Club where she made many lifelong friends. Linda continued to advance her career and served in several executive positions throughout her life. She retired from QVC in January 2017, having served as its Chief Information Officer since January 2012. Previously, she held positions as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Walmart and Senior Vice President, Global Information Technology at Hewlett-Packard. She served on the Board of Directors for Cerner, GS1 US Board of Governors, and the University of Indianapolis Advisory Board. Throughout her distinguished career she received numerous awards in business, technology and healthcare, including Fortune’s “50 Most Powerful Women in Business” and Womenlnc.’s “Most Influential Corporate Board Directors.” Her most fulfilling position came after retirement, volunteering her time as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for neglected and abused children.

Linda was so much more than her titles and awards. She was a humble, kind person who treated everyone with respect. She was generous with her time, money and gentle advice. Her smile was infectious, and her laugh would fill the room. She enjoyed reading, spending time with family and friends, and sports, especially NFL football. She was a staunch supporter of the Indianapolis Colts. She enjoyed traveling and learning about other cultures. She traveled a lot, both for business and pleasure, leaving behind a wide range of admirers in the form of friends, acquaintances and business associates all over the world. She mentored dozens of associates throughout her career, yet valued her own self-improvement from these relationships as well.

Linda certainly made a positive impact on the world around her. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Linda would want everyone who knew her to honor her memory by being kind to one another, especially during these difficult times.

Her family and friends will be having a virtual service to celebrate Linda’s life hosted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the University of Indianapolis, Christel House Academy, National Kidney Foundation and the National CASA/GAL Association.
