Linda L. Marshall

February 23, 1936 — December 17, 2018

Zionsville, Indiana

Linda L. Marshall, age 82, and longtime resident of Zionsville, passed away on Monday morning at Hoosier Village. She was born in Spurgeon, Indiana, February 23, 1936, the daughter of Alva and Golda Cato. She attended Oakland City High School, and graduated from the Gradwhol School in St. Louis, and later attended Indiana University.

In 1957, she married James Marshall. Early in her marriage she worked as a medical lab technician, and later moved into apartment management and residential real estate where she had considerable success and becoming a member of the Million Dollar Roundtable.

The Marshalls moved to Zionsville in 1972 and Linda remained in real estate until illness forced her into early retirement. She was well known for her vivacious personality throughout her life. Born into an active sports family (her father was a basketball coach, and her brother, Gene Cato, was Indiana High School Sports Commissioner), Linda excelled in sports, cheerleading, and was an ardent basketball fan.

Linda is survived by Jim Marshall, her husband of 61 years; two sons, Richard Marshall (of San Francisco, CA) and David Marshall (of Ft. Lauderdale, FL). Also surviving are two daughters in law and five granddaughters.

Funeral arrangements will be conducted by Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 21 from 4-7pm ET, with a private funeral service for immediate family on Saturday, Dec. 22. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to either the Kidney Foundation or Diabetes Foundation.
