Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, October 29 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, to celebrate the life of Linda Louise Davis, who passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020.
She was 75 years old. A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home at 12:00 PM on Thursday, October 29.
Linda was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. Educated in the Indianapolis Public School System, she attended Arsenal Technical High School. Prior to retiring in 2013, Linda held several administrative positions for local companies.
She was a voracious reader and she loved to solve puzzles of all kinds. It would not be unusual to spend part of a visit helping to assemble the latest puzzle on her table. She enjoyed spending time with her family, being a fantastic Nana to Calea, CJ, and Olivia, and the constant companionship of her beloved dog, Charlie. She also enjoyed spending time gardening, shopping, traveling, playing cards, and watching her daughter Robin decorate her beautiful Christmas tree. She made the best chocolate-chip cookies, fudge, and chocolate sauce cake.
Linda was the daughter of the late Aileen McGowen. On December 1, 1995 she married Ronnie L. Davis in Indianapolis, Indiana. She had three children, three grandchildren, and five brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Ronnie L. Davis; children Tracy (Joe Eickhoff) Roberts, Scott (Jennifer) Julian, and Robin (Christopher) Guyon; grandchildren, Calea Wright, Christopher Guyon Jr., and Olivia Julian; siblings Debra (Dale) Ramsey, William (Kim) McGowen, Terry Pollard, and Gerry Lawrence; several nieces and nephews; all loved her dearly and will never forget her.
Linda was preceded in death by her Mother, Aileen McGowen; Brother, Joe Inclenrock; and Nephew, Anthony Shelton.
