Linda Kay (Everhardt) Crose passed away peacefully at the age of 82 in her Indianapolis home on January 1, 2022 surrounded by family. She was born on July 3, 1939 in Lenoir, North Carolina to Robert Lloyd Everhardt and Margaret Faries Everhardt.
Kay attended Garfield High School in Akron, Ohio. She was a prestigious stewardess in the 60’s for Lake Central Airlines. She also wrote articles for the Zionsville Times. She most recently retired from the Wayne Township Trustee’s Office.
Kay is survived by her husband, William Crose. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 20th this year. Kay is also survived by her children, Greg Essex, Kim (Raul) Gamino, Kelly Crabtree and Chad Crose. She had 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Kay was full of life and loved to shop and go to lunch with her friends. She was loved by many people. Kay was an active member of the Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Friday, January 7, 2022 from Noon to 2 pm with a funeral service at 2 pm at Flanner-Buchanan-Floral Park, located at 425 N. Holt Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222. Burial will immediately follow services. In lieu of flowers, Kay had requested donations be made to Seeds of Hope, Inc. located at 1425 S. Mickley Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46241.
