Linda Jane Freeman, 71 of Carmel, passed away Tuesday June 19, 2018. She was born November 25, 1946 in Frankfort, Indiana to the late Richard and Barbara (Congleton) McKown.
Linda was a doting grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family. One of her favorite passions was traveling the world with her husband, Gary. She had a passion for music and loved to sing with her beautiful soprano voice that was enjoyed by all who heard her. Linda was an active member of PEO for almost 50 years where she held various chapter and local offices, in order to educate and empower young women. Her smile and infectious personality was one that everyone was drawn to. She made friends wherever she went.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Gary Freeman; daughters, Jane (Zerbo) Shea, and Jennifer (Zerbo) Dovenbarger; son David Jeffrey Zerbo; grandchildren, Patrick and Allison Gibbons, Andrew and Nicholas Kantner, and Ayden Zerbo. She is also survived by one brother, George McKown. She is proceeded in passing by her parents, and brother David McKown.
A memorial service will be at 4:00p.m. on Saturday June 23, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, where family and friends are invited to gather from 1:00p.m. until the time of service.
