Linda May Gatlin, born on June 8, 1941, in Indianapolis, IN, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025, in her beloved hometown. Linda dedicated her entire career to serving the community through her work at Chase Bank, where she built lasting relationships with colleagues and clients alike.
A graduate of George Washington High School, Linda was known for her warmth and kindness, famously never meeting a stranger. Her personality shone brightly, and she was cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. The most important things in her life were her faith, family, and friends.
Though Linda did not have children of her own, she embraced her role as a wonderful aunt, caring deeply for her many nieces and nephews, along with her great nieces and nephews. Her devotion to family was evident and was a source of joy throughout her life.
Linda is survived by her loving sister, Sandra (Hodges) Graphman, and her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Gatlin; her father, Clyde Thomas Hodges; her mother, Caroline (Rasner) Hodges; and her brother, Thomas Hodges.
A visitation will be held on May 1, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Speedway, located at 2950 N High School Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46224. The funeral service will take place on May 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at Speedway, followed by burial at Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown, IN, beginning at 12:30 PM.
Linda May Gatlin will be remembered for her generous spirit, unwavering faith, and the love she shared with those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
