Linda Erickson

Linda A. Erickson, 85, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on April 16, 2024.  Linda was born in Geneva, NY, on January 31, 1939, to the late Elmer and Pearl Erickson.  

Linda grew up in Evansville, IN and in Indianapolis, IN, where she graduated from Shortridge High School in 1957 and then attended Indiana Business College.  She worked at Rex Insurance Company for many years before joining the staff at the Indianapolis Public Library where she retired in 2015 after 20 years of service.  Linda volunteered at the library for several years following her retirement.

Linda was baptized at Central Baptist Church of Indianapolis in 1958 and faithfully attended for many years, serving as the assistant Sunday School secretary. In more recent years, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Indianapolis.

Linda is survived by her sister, Gretchen E. Spaulding of Indianapolis, her nieces, Ann (Kevin) Vick of Ft. Wayne and Janet Spaulding of Indianapolis, and her two great-nephews, James and Andrew Vick.

A service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd W. Dr. on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 2pm with visitation one hour before.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
