Lillie May Martin

Lillie May Martin, Age 83, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 20, 2017. She was born November 2, 1933 to Millard and Ada Smith. She married the late Glendle Martin on January 12, 1952. Lillie will be remembered for her love of crafts, her urge to help others, and spending time with her family.

Lillie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings, Roberta Thomas, Martha “Micky” Schubert, and John David Smith and granddaughter Kimberly Bare. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughters, Mary Jane (The late James) Calaway, Judith (William) Pence, Karen Dee (James) Bare, and Joan Ellen (Bill) Hartwig, siblings, Sharon Snyder and Millard Smith, grandchildren, Brittany Ehrman, Laura Anderson, Billy Hartwig, Tracy Bare, Jimmy Bare, Joseph Calaway, Tommy Calaway, Aaron Pence, and Adam Pence and 6 great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit from 2-6, Sunday, September 24, 2017, at Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis. Funeral services will take place, Monday, September 25, 2017 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Please share memories and condolences at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
