Lillian loved: arts, crafts, oil painting, sewing and needlework – and won many ribbons in all of these at the Indiana State Fair (often accompanied by grand children). She also baked award-winning cookies. She enjoyed golf, tennis, dancing and a good joke. She was known as a take-no-prisoners bridge player. Lillian volunteered at Winona Womens’ Hospital; participated in Walker Research Consumer studies; and sold Vanda Beauty Counselor products. She was also very active at Hillcrest Country Club and the Riviera Club in earlier years.
Pre-deceased by her husband of 68 years, Alan L. Crawford and son, Geoffrey A. Crawford (Betty). Survived by daughters Susan Jones (Tom-deceased) and Gail Gisler (John). Grandmother to Chris Gisler (Annick), Wendy Teinowitz (Harry), Rob Whitacre (E.J.), Bis Feldmann (Derrick), and Jay Whitacre (Jenny). Great-grandmother to twelve: Andrew, Chelsea, Lucy, Reggie, Gracie, Natalie, Addison, Nate, Paige, Blair, Ryland and Lukas. Great-great grandmother to three: Avi, Melina and Margaux.
Internment will be at Washington Park North Cemetery Tuesday, May, 24 from 12:00 to 1:30 in a private, family service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
