Lillian E. Kask Johnson, 101, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully to join her husband of 67 years, Carl Roland Johnson on April 19, 2017.
Known by her family and friends to be fiercely independent and creative, she enjoyed traveling in Europe, reading regularly and sewing quilts. She was an award winning quiltmaker and was one of the founding members of the Quilter's Guild of Indianapolis. She pieced quilts until age 100.
She raised 4 children in Irvington, while working in secretary roles. She is survived by children – Linda (Alyea (Michael), Stephen Johnson (Sharon), and Susan Matouk. Kristine Johnson Hugentober is deceased. Also surviving are her sister, Betty J. Miller, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Summer Trace and Carmel Health Care for the excellent care and attention these past few years.
Visitation will be held Monday from 10-11am at Flanner and Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite). Funeral services will begin at 11am.
