Lida Rose Mcguire

Lida Rose McGuire, age 71 of Indianapolis passed away on December 30, 2016. She was born July 26, 1945 in Indianapolis to Raymond and Mary Margaret Lawrence. She graduated from Lawrence Central High School. She retired from General Motors in 2003. Lida was a member of VFW Post 1587, The Moose Lodge and the American Legion. She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Lida enjoyed crafts, sewing, and loved the horses. She was a very devoted mother who made sure her family had all they needed. She would do anything for anyone.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Patrick McGuire, daughter, Julie (McGuire) Morton, sister, Mary Morton and brother, Jerry Lawrence. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Donald R. Brenneman, Jonathan P. (Sharon) McGuire, Robert Charles Brenneman, Jamie (Vince) Konidare, Bobby Walter and Allen, her brother, Ronnie (Louise) Lawrence, six grandchildren, Chris and Cory Morton, Nicholas and Valarie Konidare, Kayla and Nicholas McGuire and three great-grandchildren, Chloe, Eva and Kori.

Friends may visit with from 12 PM until the Mass at 2 PM Friday, January 6, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1401 S. Mickley Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46241. Arrangements entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis.
