Lewis O. Walker

Lewis O. Walker, 82, passed away November 5, 2016.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ina C. (Troxell) Walker; two children, Gary (Betty) Walker and Pati (Mike) Roudebush; two sisters, Lexie Whitley and Jean Peddycoart; three granddaughters: Jennifer (Boyd) Pickel, Susanne (Matt) Bush, Angela (Kevin) Connolly; seven great-grandchildren: Andrew, Aaron, and Isaac Pickel, Rachel, Will, and Jake Bush, and Lyndon Connolly; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Osborne and Mae Walker; two brothers, Garnett and Garvel Walker, and two sisters, Bonnie Percival and Hazel Walker.

Originally from Monticello, Kentucky, Lewis graduated from Wayne County High School and served in the United States Army from 1954-1956. Lewis and Ina made their home in Indianapolis, where he worked and retired from Allison's Division of General Motors. They were active members of Crosspointe Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 5-8pm at Flanner & Buchanan, 2950 N. High School Rd. Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday, November 10, 2016, Crosspointe Baptist Church, 220 Country Club Rd. Following the services, burial will take place at West Ridge Park Cemetery.
